I stress that the misalignment of bullets and numbered lists is caused by *bugs in the MS Help Compiler*.

Bear in mind that if you are using HCW (The Window 95 compiler) these bugs have been replaced with different ones!

The Key Points are:

  1. Any paragraph style that has second and subsequent line indentation MUST have a real tab stop defined in the style to coincide with the indentation.
  2. Use the styles provided in EasyHelp/Web (Bullet, Bullet Indent, Num List) as these are defined correctly
  3. Make sure bullet/num list fixing is turned on in EasyHelp/Web

From the main EasyHelp/Web toolbar use Config | Advanced | Fix Bullets and Num Lists.

The default setting is to fix these types of lists, but if you want to speed up processing you can turn it off.

Important Note

There still is a bug that occurs when you use 12 point, Times New Roman as your numbered list font, and have not explicitly set the font for the number bit!

Don't ask us why this strange behaviour has been created by Microsoft programmers -- we just don't know!
