Please make sure you are using the latest version of EasyHelp/Web

Please check your language configuration options using CONFIG | ADVANCED GLOBAL OPTIONS | LANGUAGE SETTINGS

You may find that your version of Chinese saves RTF files in a different way than English/US versions, if you look in the Word Basic Reference manual under the section Save As, you will find a number indicating the RTF save type. This number is normally 6 or it may be 4, or it may be something else for your language.

Then go into the LANGUAGE.INI file and find the section enclosed in square brackets, this relates to your language version of Word and put in the statement that says RTF= , and put in whichever number is appropriate to your language version of Word. Then, for example the settings for traditional Chinese are:

[¤¤¤å (»OÆW)]

;Traditional Chinese

;You may need to uncomment and change the RTF=4 statement depending on your version of Word

;RTF=4

Heading=Heading

Normal=Normal

NormalIndent=Normal Indent

ParagraphMark=^p

TabCharacter=^t

Field=^d

Graphic=^g

ManualLineBreak=^l

ManualPageBreak=^m

If you can let us know if these settings are different and send us your copy of the LANGUAGE.INI as above, we can add these settings for future versions of EasyHelp/Web.
