Below only applies to the old version 3 of EasyHelp/Web.

You would normally use EasyHelp/Web as a global add-in if you prefer to use your own document templates. Often advanced Word users take this approach.

For Word 6 & 7

Select the File | Templates | Add command, from the Word menu, choosing EASYHELP.DOT from the list of document template files. Once added as a global add-in you can turn EasyHelp/Web on or off by clicking the check box next to the template name.

For Word 97 & 2000

Select the Tools | Templates | Add command, from the Word menu, choosing EASYHELP.DOT from the list of document template files. Once added as a global add-in you can turn EasyHelp/Web on or off by clicking the check box next to the template name.

Tip

If you want EasyHelp/Web to be loaded automatically every time you start Word, place the EASYHELP.DOT template in your Word 'startup' folder.

Note

When EasyHelp/Web is used as a global add-in the styles in the template will not be available.
