How can I get numbering to work, when the Microsoft Help Compiler doesn't recognise some numbering functions in Word - this behaviour seems crazy! Why don't they honour Word functionality with their Help Compilers?

Some of the smart numbering features in Word don't work in Help files, we think this added functionality is a quick workaround designed by Microsoft for Word users who don't know the 'inner depths and complexities' of Word.

The only way we can suggest is to try INSERT | FIELD | NUMBERING | SEQ. This functionality is honoured on the whole by the Microsoft Help Compilers.
