Below only applies to the old version 3 of EasyHelp/Web.

Links to URLs can be done in two ways:

  1. You can simply put the full URL (http:// or ftp:// Mailto: etc. as the link name.
  2. Or you can use a simple name for the link and redefine it in the [Link ALternatives] section of the 'details' file.

Example

You will find the first icon in the Topic heading of EX1 points to our web site. This has been achieved with the [Html Link Alternatives] section in the 'Details' file as follows:

[Html Link Alternatives]

Contents@..\\easyhelp.hlp=http://www.eon-solutions.com/

This way is especially useful if you are creating Help and Web pages from the same documents.
