Below only applies to the old version 3 of EasyHelp/Web.

The steps for creating Help files and Web pages are the same apart from the fact that you need to set an option on the Config screen that says 'Make Web pages instead of Help files'

After creating your document::

  1. Create Topics (These are chunks of information that will become individual Web pages
  2. Create link to the Topics and other URLs
  3. Process. This will create the Web pages. (.HTM files)
  4. Build will show the first page in the browser.

If the Build does not show the results it could be because:

  • You have not told EasyHelp/Web which browser you want to use and Where it is. You do this on the Config Screen.
  • You may be using an old browser that that cannot be called from EasyHelp/Web. (Netscape and Internet Explorer work fine)

You can easily run your browser and load the page using the standard File | Open menu option.
