Subscript and Superscripts in Help Files - Help Authoring Site

There are a number of solutions you can do to accomplish this:

  • Use a bitmap, not especially fun, but if you're using Microsoft Word, you can use WordBasic to automatically replace superscript characters of a certain number with the embedded graphic text for that particular superscript or subscript number.
  • You can use equation editor but it is time consuming.
  • Find a royalty free chemistry font and use that. Most chemistry fonts have an series of mapped characters that correspond to the superscript and subscript numbers 0-9. This is the most effective, and easiest to edit.
